The game combines the excitement of solving puzzles with discovering a city’s culture, history, and landmarks, making it perfect for friends, families, or colleagues looking for a fun and educational activity. 

With its multilingual support and availability in major European cities, Escape City Box provides a versatile and engaging adventure for players of all backgrounds. 

Challenge 


Escape City Box was managing their own campaigns across multiple countries and cities, but despite some success, they couldn’t scale effectively. 

With over 200 cities in Europe offering their app-based virtual escape room experience, tracking sales and campaign performance across different regions became increasingly complex. They struggled to identify what was working and where to focus their efforts.  

High costs per purchase and low-performing ads further limited profitability. Their email marketing lacked full automation, making it harder to nurture customers and increase lifetime value. 

Additionally, their website’s checkout process created friction, resulting in abandoned purchases and missed sales opportunities, preventing them from fully leveraging their innovative product.

Solution

To address these challenges, we did a huge re-organisation of their campaigns by grouping countries and cities, providing a clear view of performance. 

After that, we developed localized UGC ads for each country in its native language and implemented advanced email marketing automation with Klaviyo to nurture customers and boost lifetime value. 

Their sales pages were streamlined into a simple, frictionless purchase process, while a flash offer calendar allowed evergreen and limited-time promotions to run simultaneously. 

Finally, we identified their top-performing countries—Spain, Italy, and Germany—and optimized campaigns by focusing the budget on these markets.

Outcome

Escape City Box doubled their revenue compared to the previous year and achieved their best-ever Black Friday and Cyber Monday results. 

They broke sales records with €70,000 in a single month and increased their daily sales to a consistent €2,000. 

Now, our focus is on scaling ad spend, expanding into new countries, and doubling sales year after year.
